Three-arm Gilt-brass Bouillotte Lamp, France, 19th century, turned gilt finial above shade supported by a three-arm bracket with projecting feathered arrow and arms modeled with stylized dolphin heads, all above a three-arm sconce with pierced circular base, ht. 27, wd. of shade 15 in. Provenance: Esate of William L. Hubbard, Sunderland, Massachusetts. According to notes kept by the family of the collector, the lamp came from "the Parks family who owned and lived in the Emily Dickenson house in Amherst, [Massachusetts]. When the house was sold to Amherst College, I sold the accumulated clutter [including ] the lamp which I bought." Not electrified. Spots of tarnish to foot. Surface abrasions to finial. In otherwise good condition with no evidence of repair or restoration.
