George III Metal-mounted Cellarette, England, late 18th century, hexagonal, with three registers of metal mounting: one to hinged lid and two others to top and bottom of body; with two brass handles to sides, all on four squat legs with caster feet, ht. 24 1/2, wd. 18 1/2 in. Scattered surface abrasions including one deeper scratch to back-side. Replaced veneer strip to front. Two small veneer repairs on front and side. One small dent to brass binding on upper side. Lower brass binding has shifted down slightly. Slight lifting to interior hinge.
