Two Victorian Lacquered Trays, England, mid-19th century, both with black ground and shaped edges, one depicting a church ruin inlaid with mother-of-pearl and centering polychrome and gilt arabesque border, inscribed "F. L. H_______ Church Street Liverpool" on the reverse, lg. 31; the other with allover gilt and polychrome decoration of flowers and foliage, impressed "Jennens & Bettridge's London" on the reverse, lg. 25 1/4 in. Both with craquelure, surface wear and rubbing. Mother-of-pearl tray with several large chips to rim.
