Victorian George II-style Mahogany Game Table, England, 19th century, the rectangular top with outset corners over conforming case fitted with a single drawer, with concertina action opening to reveal playing surface inset with chinoiserie needlework and reservoirs for game pieces, over carved cabriole legs ending on raised feet, ht. 28 1/2, wd. 31, open dp. 28 1/2 in. Slight surface abrasions to top surface (when closed) and around hinges of concertina movement. Needlework with some water damage and related staining, some age-related discoloration and wear. Fraying around central hinge. And one small area of lifting on the front right corner. Several small and scattered shrinkage cracks to veneer. 1/2 inch loss to lower molding next to front left knee.
