Mintons Pate-sur-Pate Cabinet Plate, England, late 19th/early 20th century, signed Alboin Birks, scalloped rim with pierced and gilded shell-molded border surrounding a central dark blue ground oval cartouche with white slip depiction of a cherub posing, printed retailer's mark for Apsley Pellatt & Co. , impressed factory mark, dia. 9 1/8 in. Gilded frame of cartouche with numerous abrasions; footrim with a flake to gilding.
