Federal Red-painted Maple Card Table with Drawer, possibly New Hampshire, c. 1800, the exaggerated overhanging hinged top with breadboard ends on a straight apron with end drawer joining square tapering legs, original surface, (minor imperfections), ht. 28, wd. 38, dp. 18 3/4 in. Provenance: Peter Carswell Antiques, Strafford, New Hampshire. Peter found it in a cottage in Bradford, New Hampshire. surface with staining; top of folding half is scrubbed, when open there is worn old red wash.
