Tiger Maple and Cherry Tall Chest of Seven Drawers, made by Moses Osborn, Weare, New Hampshire, late 18th century, original brass bail pulls, old surface, ht. 63, case wd. 38 1/2, dp. 21 in. Provenance: Purchased from Henry T. Osborne, at the Osborne homestead in Weare, New Hampshire. Henry was a direct descendant of Moses Osborn, a cabinetmaker working in Weare, New Hampshire. This chest was used by Henry T. Osborne until we sold it for him to Bill Samaha. Henry used the proceeds from this sale to invest for his grandchildren. We then bought the chest back from Bill Samaha, when it later became available. small shrinkage cracks at bottom of each side.
