Bittersweet-painted Lapped-seam Covered Box, New Hampshire, 19th century, round box with pine top and bottom, bent ash sides with opposing lapped-finger joinery, (minor cracks), ht. 1 3/4, dia. 4 3/8 in. Provenance: Purchased from Tom and Nan Lindsey, Meredith, New Hampshire. Two small cracks at joinery "finger" tip on either side of tack on the box.
