Provenance: John Carl Thomas, Hanover, Connecticut. John's knowledge of antiques, especially pewter and metalware, was second to none. He enjoyed talking about antiques and was very generous in sharing his knowledge with others. John used this sawbuck table as his desk in the keeping room. Countless deals and many collections were formed on this table. It was also a favorite perch for his many beloved cats.
