American School, 19th Century Profile Portrait Miniature of a Young Lady. Unsigned, the reverse inscribed "30 years old L.A.C. Taken 1823." Watercolor on paper, 4 x 2 7/8 in., in a hand-painted frame. Condition: Toning, minor stains. The inscription on the back is written in pencil and someone at some point has over-inscribed it to make it read clearer, the old glass is slightly tinted green..
