Percy (Edward Percy) Moran (American, 1862-1935) Tea Time Signed "PERCY MORAN... " l.r., identified on a presentation plaque. Oil on canvas, 28 1/4 x 24 in. (71.1 x 61.0 cm), within a frame liner. Condition: Retouch, craquelure, surface grime. Retouch as follows: a thin (1/8 in.) vertical line mearuing about 12 inches long and extending down from the teacup being passed, to the top of the footstool l.c.; retouch to the bonnet of the figure at the far left and in the window behind her, as well as a small area on the woodwork of the window alcove. Varnish inconsistencies to the l.r. corner in the shadows beneath the chair and to scattered areas in the u.r. quadrant of the background.
