Attributed to Simon de Vos (Flemish, 1603-1676) Portrait of a Young Girl Unsigned, identified on a presentation plaque. Oil on cradled panel, 22 1/2 x 16 3/4 in. (57.2 x 42.5 cm), framed. Condition: Losses, retouch, craquelure with lifting, surface imperfections and grime. With a gummed label with a monogram "...J./56" on the reverse. Background extensively retouched with uneven texture and reflective quality to those surfaces. Retouch also to pupils and nostrils of the child and to her apron. Losses and lifting to background around the child's head, with largest loss measuring about 1/2 x 1/2 in. located u.r. quadrant.
