Frederic Charles Vipond Ede (American, 1865-1943) Figure with Geese and Cows Along a Riverbank Signed "Frederic - Ede -" l. r. Oil on canvas, 21 3/8 x 29 1/8 in. (54.3 x 74.0 cm), framed. Condition: Patch reinforcement, small repaired tear to u.l. quadrant, stable craquelure, canvas deformation to u.l. corner, surface grime. With a canvas stencil from Lucien Lefebvre Foinet, Paris, on the reverse. Small u-shaped repair measuring about 1/2 inch located in the treetop in u.l. quadrant, 4 inches down from the top edge and 11 inches in from the left side.
