Reynolds Beal (American, 1866-1951) Cargo Boats, Funghal, Madeira Signed "REYNOLDS BEAL" l. r., titled and inscribed "...FROM SKETCH MADE WHILE CRUISING ABORD [ sic ] TRAINING SHIP-SQUARERIGGER-ST. MARYS" on the reverse. Oil on fiberboard, 23 7/8 x 30 in. (60.6 x 76.2 cm), unframed. Condition: Mounted to stretcher bars, very minor wear to edges. Minor paint losses to edges; nailed along perimeter to wood strainers; no additional condition issues to report.
