Joan Mitchell (American, 1925-1992) Sunflower VII , 1972, edition of 75 plus proofs, published by Maeght Editeur, Paris. Signed "Joan Mitchell" in pencil l.r., inscribed "EA" in pencil l.l. Color etching with aquatint on paper, plate size 26 3/4 x 17 1/4 in. (67.8 x 43.8 cm), framed. Condition: Margins 1 inch or more, not examined out of frame. Out of the frame the sheet has an Arches France watermark and deckled edges. It measures 35 7/8 x 25 in. There is soiling to the margins, primarily near the u.l. and l.r. corners, and there are pencil annotations to the reverse.
