American School, 20th Century New Orleans Jazz . Indistinctly signed in pencil l.r. Etching and aquatint on laid paper with "F.J. Head" watermark, plate size 7 3/8 x 6 1/2 in. (18.5 x 16.4 cm), framed. Condition: Margins over 1 inch with deckled edges, several fox marks, unobtrusive toning. The sheet measures 11 1/2 x 9 1/4 in. and is neither matted nor hinged. The paper is a cream color with several fox marks to the margins. There are two 1/4 inch tears to the upper edge and fine creases along the left edge. There are also some fine breaks to the paper fibers along the plate mark.
