English Queen Anne Japanned oak secretary desk, ca. 1710 , the upper section with a cove cornice over two paneled doors, enclosing an interior with one long over three short over four short over two long drawer configuration, resting on a lower section with mid molding and two candleslides, above a long drawer with a fitted butler's desk interior with pigeon holes, four small drawers and a felt writing surface, all above two short over two long drawers, resting on straight bracket feet. The case retains exquisite overall chinoisserie decoration of figures in landscapes, buildings, boats, animals, etc., 73" h., 42" w., 14" d.
