Carleton" in pencil l.r., inscribed "...from a pastel of Laura Coombs lent to museum by the owner Mrs. Edward Farnham Greene of Boston with the permission obtained to copy it full size...Clara Louise Carleton..." on the paper backing, with a label from Haley & Steele, Boston. Pastel on paper, sight size 21 1/4 x 17 1/2 in., framed. Condition: Not examined out of frame.
