Nine Small Silver Boxes and Jars, a German octagonal hinged box, late 19th/early 20th century, with Austro-Hungarian import mark and rubbed maker's marks, lid with classical scene of Venus; an unmarked ovoid box with gold-washed interior; a glass jar with marked Whiting sterling silver lid; a large glass jar with sterling lid; an unmarked box with stone-mounted lid; a hexagonal sterling box with lid decorated with a courting couple, maker's mark possibly "TG" and London import mark from 1906; a Dutch export box, 1902, decorated with courting couples; and two English boxes: a circular box with tortoiseshell-mounted lid, London, 1902, maker's mark "WC," and a rectangular stamp box with repousse decoration of a bird and butterfly to the lid, London, 1888, maker's mark possibly for William Comyns. All with usage wear. Gold-washed oval box with repair to lid. Stone-mounted box with cracks joints and a crack across the stone.
