After Correggio (Italian, born c. 1489-1534) Mary Adoring the Christ Child Unsigned. Oil on canvas, 32 x 26 3/4 in. (81.0 x 68.1 cm), framed. Condition: Canvas trimmed and lined, puncture to original canvas c.r., scattered abrasions, craquelure. Provenance: The collection of Louis D. "Bud" Root (1922-2009). N.B. This copy, probably 19th century, is based on Correggio's Madonna Adoring the Christ Child in the Uffizi Gallery in Florence.
