Somes/196..." l.r., inscribed "T2/Tom/Te...2" l.l., identified on a label from Dartmouth College on the reverse, oil on composition board, 23 3/4 x 31 7/8 in.; and Bertrand H. Yeaton, Fish , c. 1957, signed, titled, and inscribed on the reverse of the frame, identified on two labels from Dartmouth College on the reverse and on the frame, oil on Masonite, 23 7/8 x 29 7/8 in. Condition: Somes with loss to l.r. corner, nails and nail holes at intervals around the perimeter, craquelure, surface grime; Yeaton with mild surface grime. Provenance: Both sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire.
