Kesi Tapestry, China, 19th century, woven with a garden landscape beneath a dark red sky and Immortals engaging in various activities, with a later border and appliqued decorations, panel 67 x 34 1/2, overall 112 x 48 in. From the estate of Richard Young, Van Hornesville, New York. This collection originally belonged to his stepmother, Louise Powis Brown Young, who had amassed the textiles during the first quarter of the 20th century.
