American, 19th century. Two pieces of American Brilliant Period glass, both in the manner of Dorflinger, comprised of a large chalice and compote hobstar. The compote with hobstars divided by a bars of cross-hatching raised with a cut knob on the stem. The base is finished with a rayed star. The monumental chalice features large fields of deeply cut fans alternating with hobstars and panels of cross hatching with a cut knob over a notched paneled stem and rayed star foot. Height of Compote 7.4", diameter of mouth 6.8", base diameter 4.15". Height of chalice 11.6", diameter of mouth 4.3", base diameter 4.75".
