Pieced and Appliqued Cotton Cherry Baskets Pattern Quilt, America, late 19th century, with forty-four baskets and twenty-two partial baskets composed of multicolored printed and woven cotton triangular and square segments on an off-white ground separated by a red diamond grid intersecting with light blue printed squares, edged with red printed fabric and backed with off-white muslin, quilted with outline, hearts, and parallel line stitches, (minor toning and stains), approx. 94 x 82 in. Provenance: Purchased from Fred Fuessenich in 1971. Exhibitions: The 1976 Bicentennial Exhibition at Boston City Hall.
