Molded Sheet-copper Horse and Rider Weathervane, America, late 19th century, flattened full-body rider wearing a hat and mounted on a trotting horse, constructed of molded, seamed, thick gauged sheet copper, pierced to delineate the hands, feet, and reins, old verdigris surface with remnants of earlier paint and gilding, the tail with incised inscription "Kimball Farm-Crossacres/Boxborough, Mass. ," mounted on a cast iron rod, with wood-post roof mount and partial cast iron directionals, and a small copper sphere, no stand, (minor seam separation), ht. 18 1/2, lg. 20 in.
