New London Northern Railroad Red-painted Ticket Box, America, c. 1863, rectangular box with hinged lid, one side of the box with white painted lettering "NLN RR 1863," ht. 13 1/4, wd. 19 1/2, dp. 11 5/8 in. Note: The New London Northern Railroad was a part of the Central Vermont Railway traveling from New London, Connecticut, north to Brattleboro, Vermont. According to a note taped to the inside of the lid, the box stored the collected tickets.
