Small Paint-decorated Pine Six-board Chest, New England, late 18th century, the molded lift-top opens to a well with till and drawer, on molded bracket base, later painted decoration of blue ground with black banding, yellow striping, and salmon swags with tassels, (approx. 8 in. shrinkage crack on the front left panel of the box about mid-way down from the top, scattered minor paint loss), ht. 20 1/2, case wd. 43, case dp. 15 in.
