Gerald Leake (American, 1885-1975) The Child Signed "Leake" l. r., identified on a presentation plaque and on labels from Grand Central Galleries, New York, and Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire, both affixed to the stretcher. Oil on canvas, 25 x 30 in. (63.5 x 76.4 cm), framed. Condition: Paint losses, craquelure, varnish inconsistencies, surface grime. Provenance: Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire.
