French, first half of 20th century. Gilt bronze mounted porcelain cache pot with pierced oval banding, beading and leaf tips on rim above vessel flanked by scrolling leaf and rosette handles at side of tapered porcelain hand painted with musical instruments (lyre, horn, mandolin, etc.) and winged putti or cherubs with floral garlands and a pink cloth flying in clouds amid two kissing doves symbolizing love, all on cream ground, supported on a circular foot within a laurel wreath band on a square base with floral corners and chamfered patera blocks on disk feet with gadrooned accents. Unmarked. Overall approximate height 13.4", width (across handles) 13.125".
