Lacquer Box by Kamisaka Sekka (1866-1942), Japan, early 20th century, rounded rectangular tsugaru-nuri box with plain exterior and golden silk lining to interior, painted with stalks of rice grain on the interior and signed "Sekka" with a seal, with a wood box inscribed on the cover, 13 5/8 x 10 in.
