Blunt, Lady Anne (1837-1917) Bedouin Tribes of the Euphrates . New York: Harper, 1879. First American edition, octavo, with frontispiece and folding map, illustrated throughout, in publisher's blue cloth, stamped in gold, rubbed, spine a bit faded, head caps slightly frayed, 8 1/4 x 5 1/4 in. Lady Anne was an intrepid traveler, who adapted her titled British status to nomadic horsemanship in North Africa. She visited the Arab world repeatedly, and brought many fine Arabian breeding horses back with her to England.
