Hanging Scroll, China, Song Dynasty style, in the manner of Zhao Qianli (1127-1162), depicting pavilions in a mountain landscape with figures, color on silk; calligraphy by Yuan Jiagu (1872-1937), introducing Zhao and describing how his friend Lü Yunyi got this painting, ink on silk, overall 76 3/4 x 20 1/2, painting 21 x 12 1/2, calligraphy 10 x 12 3/4 in. Provenance: The current owner's mother emigrated to the United States from Kunming, China, in the 1940s, and brought this painting with her.
