Four Lady's Apron Skirts, China, 19th/20th century, a blue silk skirt woven with a dragon chasing a pearl, with woven dragon roundels above and a lishui border below, a pink and blue silk skirt embroidered with a panel depicting an official and a lady with a child, the second panel embroidered with two noblemen and a lady in a garden, with a border of blue peonies picked out in "Forbidden Stitch," the sides with multicolored pleats embroidered with butterflies and flowers, an orange silk skirt embroidered with blue moths and peonies, the pleats with blue floral motifs, and a woven black silk skirt embroidered with dragons in gold thread, with dragon roundels above and a lishui border below.
