Aaron Willard Jr. Patent Timepiece or "Banjo" Clock with Alarm, Boston, Massachusetts, c. 1825, mahogany case with alarm bell mounted above, separate weight channel through the waist, Roman numeral painted iron dial, brass alarm disc and blued-steel hands, gilded rope front moldings frame the reverse-painted glasses, the waist flanked by brass side ornaments with stenciled decoration on a red ground, the hinged lower of a steer next to a stream, eight-day time and alarm movement stamped A.
