Lemuel Curtis Patent Timepiece "Banjo" Clock, Concord, Massachusetts, c. 1815, the mahogany case with painted iron Roman numeral dial signed Warranted by L. Curtis/Concord , blued steel moon hands, gilt "Concord-style" rope moldings frame the reverse-painted glasses, the waist glass flanked by brass side ornaments with silver leaf crosshatching on a red ground and marked Patent within a scroll leaf border, the lower depicting and marked Mount Vernon framed by a stenciled leaf decoration, eight-day timepiece with lead weight and pendulum, ht. 34 in.
