Frank Weston Benson (American, 1862-1951) Dark Pool , 1920, published state of 150 (Paff, 189). Signed "FrankWBenson." in pencil l.l., initialed and dated within the plate. Drypoint on Japanese vellum, plate size 8 x 11 7/8 in. (20.3 x 30.0 cm), unmatted, unframed. Condition: Margins 1 inch or more with deckled edges, pencil annotations to lower margin, subtle light-striking and soiling, hinge residue and thinned spots to upper corners verso. Provenance: Descended within the family of the artist.
