Frank Weston Benson (American, 1862-1951) Canvasbacks , 1926, published state of 150 (Paff, 261). Signed "FrankWBenson." in pencil l.l. Etching on laid paper with "ENGLAND" watermark, plate size 5 7/8 x 11 3/4 in. (14.8 x 29.7 cm), unmatted, unframed. Condition: Margins over 1 3/4 inches with deckled left and lower edges, several small fox marks, pencil annotations l.l., remains of brown paper hinges near upper corners. Provenance: Descended within the family of the artist.
