Frank William Chapman (American, 19th/20th Century) Mountains at Sunset. Initialed "F.C." l.l., and identified on a label from the Hood Museum of Art on the reverse. Oil on canvas, sight size 11 7/8 x 15 3/4 in., framed. Condition: Surface grime, craquelure, scattered abrasions and losses especially around edges. Provenance: Sold to benefit the acquisition fund of the Hood Museum of Art, Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire.
