Antonio Nicolo Gasparo Jacobsen (Danish/American, 1850-1921) Portrait of the Screw Steamer Yacht ATLANTA . Signed and dated "Antonio Jacobsen 1911/31 Palisade Av. West Hoboken, N.J." l.r., vessel identified on brass plaque affixed to the frame. Oil on artist board, 16 x 28 in., in a later molded giltwood frame. Condition: Craquelure with small paint loss in water and left edge. Exhibitions: Ship Portraits Owned in New Jersey, Monclair Art Museum, Monclair, New Jersey, December 16--February 3, 1974, with an exhibition label applied to the back of the frame.
