Federal Carved Mahogany Cylinder-top Desk, attributed to Thomas Seymour, Boston, c. 1816, the opens to an interior of four valanced compartments flanked by drawers with turned ivory pulls, and a pullout writing surface with and adjustable easel, above a case of two cockbeaded half drawers all on square tapering legs ending in casters, the right side with a pullout work surface, old surface, old replaced brasses, (imperfections), ht. 41, wd. 42 3/4, dp. 24 3/4 in.
