Framed Lover's Knot, dated February 1855, watercolor and ink on paper, depicting a symmetrical interwoven design with sentimental inscriptions, given to the bride by the groom on the occasion of their marriage, according to the inscriptions and cutout inscriptions applied to the mat below: "Samuel Fisher and Sarah P. Eddleman Wheare Lawfully Married the Twentieth Day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred And fifty five 1855," (minor toning, not examined out of frame), sight size 6 3/4 x 6 5/8 in., matted, in a period molded, painted, wood frame.
