Two Chinese Export Porcelain Armorial Marriage Plates, 18th century, made for the European market, one with gilt and grisaille painted joined crests under a crown above an urn of flowers flanked by baskets of fruit, with fruit and floral border on the rim and spearhead bordering the cavetto, (hairline), dia. 8 7/8; and one with iron red grisaille and gilt painted coat of arms surmounted with the initials "MSB" and a calligraphic motif, surrounded by iron red scrolled foliage encircled with gilt and grisaille designs, with gilt scrolled foliate border, dia. 8 7/8 in.
