Chippendale Mahogany Oxbow Serpentine Slant-lid Desk, possibly North Shore of Massachusetts, late 18th century, the lid opens to an interior of the central concave drawers with fan-carving flanked by drawers and valanced compartments, with cockbeaded case of four drawers on ogee bracket feet centering a fan-carved drop pendant, replaced brasses, refinished, (imperfections), ht. 43 3/4, wd. 42, dp. 23 in.
