Embossed Brass Snuff Box Depicting William Pitt the Younger, probably England, late 18th/early 19th century, round form with embossed bust of Pitt and his name on the cover, the sides ornamented with a Greek key design, ht. 7/8, dia. 2 1/8 in. Note: William Pitt the Younger (1759-1806) was a British politician of the late 18th and early 19th centuries. He became the youngest Prime Minister in 1783 at the age of 24. He left the position in 1801, but became Prime Minister again from 1804 until his death in 1806.
