Federal Inlaid Mahogany Tambour Desk, possibly New Hampshire or Massachusetts, c. 1800, the top section with prospect door with inlaid flame birch veneered medallion, flanked by two tambour doors and inlaid broken columns, the lower section with fall-front lid opening to a red baize writing surface over a case with four cockbeaded, string-inlaid and crossbanded long drawers, raised on flaring French feet, (restoration), ht. 47, wd. 41 1/2, dp. 19 in.
