Soumak Carpet, Northeast Caucasus, late 19th century, the four large lobed medallions along a central axis in gold, shades of blue, and ivory, containing zoomorphic and radiating geometric elements, animals, figures and polygons decorate the abrashed brick field, all within a crisp eight-pointed-star-in-octagon main border, minor borders with "running dog" design and rosettes, 10 ft. 11 in. x 6 ft. 3 in.
