Embroidered Kerman Shawl, Southeast Persia, late 19th century, the polychrome center roundel densely embroidered with a repeating prayer arch-type design with tiny boteh, the innermost section displaying interlacing vines and flowerheads, four large hooked boteh extending from each corner, all on a cream-colored field, repeating hooked boteh-patterned main border, 3 ft. 4 in. x 2 ft. 10 in.
