West Chinese "Lion Dog" Carpet, 19th century, the large central "lion dog" encircled by two smaller "lion dogs" all upon a medium brown field within a segmented main border displaying a "wan" character meander design, "shou" medallions, a scroll painting emblem, a vase, a cube on a stand, and a rhombus, fretwork variant and pearl minor borders, all within a wide dark brown empty outer border, 6 ft. 4 in. x 10 ft. 5 in.
