Bakshaish Carpet, Northwest Persia, c. 1870, the boldly drawn pendanted floral center medallion upon a light red and brown outlined lozenge on an abrashed royal and light blue field with spaciously drawn polychrome palmettes and vines, all within a wide ivory highly stylized "turtle" main border, multiple angular vine and floral meander minor borders, 13 ft. 3 in. x 9 ft. 6 in.
