Bakshaish Carpet, Northwest Persia, late 19th century, the brick red stepped cartouche inset with an abrashed blue/green stepped medallion both with highly stylized and spaciously drawn polychrome devices, on an abrashed medium blue field with quadrupeds, eight-pointed stars, serrated leaves, and other geometric devices, all within a wide ivory palmette, serrated leaf, and angular vine main border, 13 ft. 6 in. x 9 ft.
